THE WINNERS OF FOOTBALL CANTERBURY'S 2022 "Bert Harvey FAIR PLAY AWARD" & ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING SOCCER CLUB IN THE INNER WEST
Ashfield Pirates Football Club is one of the fastest growing soccer club in the Inner West located in Ashfield. The Soccer Club was founded by Jean Kouriel in 2015 to cater for Grassroots football. Since then, the club has all girls teams and All Age Men's teams as well.

Ashfield Pirates FC after being awarded the "Crystal Cup award" in 2019 received one of the highest honours at the 2022 Football Canterbury's Volunteers Recognition Awards night by winning the "Bert Harvey Fair Play Award."

An Extraordinary Volunteer and Super Mum
Sarah Elsleiman has been a remarkable volunteer for Ashfield Pirates FC, showcasing unwavering dedication and support over the past five years. This super mum has gone above and beyond, recently managing both the Under 10's and Under 15's teams while always stepping in to help in the canteen at every home game. Her enthusiasm and commitment are infectious, and her cheers at Pratten Park can be heard across Ashfield, inspiring players and supporters alike.
While we are blessed with many incredible volunteers, Sarah has truly stood out in 2024. Her energy, passion, and love for the Pirates embody everything our club represents. Sarah’s contributions have left a lasting impact on the club and our community, and we couldn’t be prouder to have her as part of the Pirates family. Thank you, Sarah, for all that you do!
Ashfield Pirates FC Secures Pratten Park as Home Ground on 10th Birthday!
We are thrilled to share some groundbreaking news with our dedicated members as we celebrate a decade of passion, teamwork, and unforgettable moments at Ashfield Pirates FC. On our 10th birthday, we are delighted to announce that the Inner West council has granted us the incredible opportunity to call Pratten Park our new home!
This is a monumental achievement for the Pirates, marking a new era of growth and success. Pratten Park, with its storied history and top-notch facilities, will undoubtedly enhance our training sessions, matches, and overall club experience. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Inner West council for their support and belief in the Ashfield Pirates FC.
$300,000 Grant for
Hammond Park
02nd December 2024
Ashfield Pirates FC has been granted $300,000 to upgrade the facilities at Hammond park thanks to Football NSW & "the Equaliser" campaign.
This $300,000 commitment was made possible by Sally Sitou (Labor member for Reid) as her vision for women's & children's football aligned with the Pirates.
This major upgrade including Women friendly changerooms, Canteen, storage, Lights and new turf will commence in September 2025.

"Fair Play Award 2022"
Another Successful season for the Pirates after winning one of the 2 major awards at the 2022Football Canterbury Volunteers Recognition Dinner.
Bert Harvey's Fair Play Award is a major recognition for the Pirates, as it truly shows the Culture of the Club which is a testament to the players, officials and all members of the club.
As the Club President I am so proud of every one of our Pirates and look forward to winning this award back to back in 2023.

"Community Recognition Award 2022"
Another Successful season for the Pirates after being awarded the Community Recognition Award by Jo Haylen MP for Summer Hill.
Jo Haylen MP Community Recognition Award is recognition for Ashfield Pirates for outstanding contribution to the Summer Hill community. This award truly shows the hard work the Club has undertaken to ensure our community is physically active, healthy and playing sport in a friendly environment. This is a testament to all our volunteers and members of the club.
As the Club President I am so proud of every one of our Pirates and look forward to working with Jo and her team to ensure this continues in 2023 and beyond.
