Complete Upgrade of Hammond Park to include new grass, lights, female friendly change rooms, storage & Canteen.

The past month has been one of the most exciting and rewarding periods for everyone involved with Ashfield Pirates FC. From major community milestones to team growth, new partnerships and preparations for the 2026 season, the energy around the club continues to build, and it’s all happening the Pirates way.

The highlight of the month has undoubtedly been the completion and upcoming grand opening of the upgraded Hammond Park.

This is more than just a field upgrade — it’s a major step forward for football in Ashfield and the Inner West. The new facilities will provide a safe, high-quality environment for our players, families and the wider community to enjoy year-round football.

The official opening on Saturday 28th March will be a true community celebration, featuring a free sausage sizzle, face painting, and the presence of our amazing sponsors who help make everything we do possible.

We’re calling on all Pirates players, families and supporters to attend in their Pirates Purple, as we come together for a club photo and celebrate this incredible milestone.
